UPSC Rejects 99 NDA, NA Exam Applications Over Non-Payment of Fees: A Chance to Appeal

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the rejection of applications for the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) Examination (I), 2024. This is due to non-payment of examination fees by 99 candidates, as reported by the Hindustan Times.

UPSC asserts that the confirmation of the Rs 100 fee payment was not received from the corresponding bank authorities, leading to the disqualification of these candidates.

Candidates, however, have the right to contest this rejection. Within 10 days, applicants can submit an appeal along with supporting evidence. This can be done either via speed post or hand delivery.

The appeal should be addressed to ‘Smt. Kripa Anna Ekka, Under Secretary (NDA), Union Public Service Commission’ at Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi. All appeals must reach the commission’s office by February 4, 2024, as stated in the UPSC notice.

Upon receiving valid evidence of fee payment, rejected applications will undergo reevaluation. If the fee was paid/deposited in cash mode through the State Bank of India or other designated banks, the original Bank -pay -in-slip should be submitted. Alternatively, if the payment was made through debit/credit card or internet banking, a copy of the debit/credit card statement or Bank Account Statement should be provided.
